I was curious if someone can chime in on whether the cutlass is routed for a bucker in the bridge, Id be interested in modding one up if possible, really digging the cutlass!

It's not like you couldn't have a good tech route it for you. There is a pickguard to hide the route... Or throw in some single coil sized HBs or maybe even the stock pickups surprise you.

I really hope that EBMM introduces various iterations of this guitar beyond the vanilla SSS/Standard bridge config.

Would be a shame to limit this guitar to only that config. Seems like it could be such a versatile and potentially killer guitar that is being hobbled in its current state.

Paging Mr. Rose...Floyd are you there???

Cheers

Again, a good luthier could add a Floyd for you...

On a side note, I'm sure we will see different variations to this guitar as it gains momentum. In one of the NAMM vids Scotty said they expect these to hit stores in 2 weeks. It sounds like they want this out there ASAP so that people can play it first hand quickly. I can't wait to try as is... But will also be looking to see how it evolves.

Stratty,

As much as I like modding guitars :D it would be nice if I didn't have too.:D

Plus we are talking about 700.00 bucks here. Pickup/s, luthier bridge/pickup rout job, floyd bridge, pickguard, etc... That is substantially more than I would want to shell out unfortunately.

I also agree with you regarding the Cutlass evolving into different variations. I have a good feeling, (and I know I could be wrong), that the Cutlass will see a version with a Humbucker rout and possibly a floyd, (Mick Mars was rocking one), already standard. Even then I would have to rout the body for a recess floyd, unless Big Poppa blows my mind and offers a recess floyd option.:D:D:D

Cheers

Yeah, it's not cheap to mod guitars. However, it's probably the only way we are gonna get exactly what for specs. Even if BP floyded it and gave it internal neon lights someone would complain that it was the wrong Floyd or wrong color lights... And none of us have even played it yet. My point is the Cutlass is such a great platform guitar and if it sells well we will see all sorts of options at some point. For now, however, modding is your only/best option.

Maybe people should check out that stock bridge before begging for a Floyd. It's kinda like the JP bridge isn't it? It seems to be much more modern even though it looks traditional.

Honestly there are so many great trems out there that rival the Floyd that I am waiting for the day that those huge things go away. :)

That's my point exactly with the guitar. None of us have played it so how can we know it's not right? my only problem is I like the white and the black the best but already have a white Silo and black Al so I'd kind of like a different color option before the wife says "don't you already have that guitar"... But that's why they have the PDN runs right?
