When the D-tuna first came out I bought a box of them. The one that came with my first year Wolfgang works better than any of the others for some strange reason?

Different material in the early days. When they started the korean series they changed the D-tuna to light weight.

I was told Peavey made the one's for the Wolfgang's, as the after market ones weren't available for some time after. Was it Floyd Rose making the others? I can't remember.

As did Dudley Gimpel and Sterling Ball.

Ed is really best not discussed on these boards, and I'll leave it at that. *hint hint*

The bottom line ( beacause Stone cold says so!! ) is that if you want the D-tuna ( i wanted it!! ) you will have to live with the fact that the tremolo will be a lot more stiffer, if you want a light tremolo or floating, don't use it!...but i need my axis for all the tunnings, it is my best guitar so i want it every time!!!

But anway: welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy your stay. Perhaps you could, If you want, give us some info about yourself, your gear and, when applicable, your MusicMan guitars? You can start a seperate thread for that (and remember: pics, or it doesn't exist!)

....and you bumped a 6 year old thread to tell us that?

I have a D-Tuna on my Axis and it does not feel any different then before. The only thing I realized is that no every string likes being dropped like that to D and back again. Sad to say but the low E on my set of Super Slinky's just did not wanna listen no matter what I did and yup I adjusted it properly. A set from another manufacturer before and after were just fine, weird really.
