Saw this expression for the first time today on another forum made by a youngster in reference to a semi type guitar fitted with a bigsby replica trem. Made me smile.

Screw that, without my dad I wouldn't have listened to Steve Lukather. Learned about his music, picked up the guitar and have two Lukes now. BP should thank my dad :D

Well, my dad isn't exactly a rocker, but I totally agree with what Luc just said: both my parents were very supportive in my younger years of learning music, and also bought me my first "serious" instruments..
So, again, screw that!

Hee hee - I've heard the expression "accountants" or "dentists" guitars often attributed to a guitar with 3 initials that starts with P.

But never "Dad's" guitars.

My dads pretty sweet!,

I've also been blessed with a father in law that's just as cool. I'm writing this as I'm sitting next to him after a day playing golf, dinner and some ice cream. We also traveled 7.5 hours to get here and we've been in a few bands together.

So to say parents are unhip or boring i say no way!!!

As a dad I have a little problem with 'dad guitars' - the problem is… I have only one EBMM 'dad guitar' ;) I have to do something with that, 'cause they're growing fast:

^ Hey man, the only solution is to buy a twin for your JP BFR..maybe your sons are not going to get into guitar so soon, but in the meantime you could have twice the fun! when you matched the numbers, the only thing to remember is you'll have to strum the GUITARS and cuddle the BABIES, and not vice-versa..

"strum the GUITARS and cuddle the BABIES" - I have to write it down in a conspicuous place :D
My boys are non-identical twins, so the JP7 doesn't have to be identical to the one I have ;) Maybe even not JP… Bongo 6? ;)

Beware of kids !

At the end, they will even steal your guitar :

(she already stole my classical guitar ... and now I can't compete with her right hand !)
