The guys at the booth said they only made 5 of the pink in the photo, I got in about 12:45-1:00 and it was sold-doors opened at noon, played both the "blues" and the burst all were super nice. Didn't sell enough of my other stuff to buy one of them, but got two more days to try.

Well I got one of the 5. Sweet! Definately send us the pics that you take.
And thanks.

Thanks for sharing, bovinehost. I do believe that the natural Classic is the one for me, provided it goes into regular production.

I had a blast. Going back again today for day three... and a particular bass I had my eye on.

That shell pink is beautiful. I'm a glossy neck kind of a guy and that one speaks to me. Too bad $$$$ ain't there and I'm not going to be able to get back out to the festival today. I missed the booth yesterday cause I was playing Mr. Mom. At least I've still got my baby asprin orange Ray to play. That thing owns me.;)

That Natural Classic with the black pickguard ~ oh be still my heart. I've been trying to stay away from the new Classic model since I have a 78, but damn you evil guys at MM. That Natural Classic has me GASing now.

John has a single H 25th Woo hoo

That is one hell of a bass. I've had it here since the mini-Bass Fest and after playing it all night one night, I put it away and refused to touch it again. I was scared of how much I liked it.

the yes, even with the maple fretboard,

Are these basses for sale somewhere? That natural Classic is giving me a lot of GAS :(
post more pics please.

By the way, does this mean that EB is going to release the classic in natural finish? If so, I'll start saving right away.

If I remember correctly, most if not all of those instruments were actually Guitar Center stock. Some were already marked sold (and rumor is that fingbeagles cleaned out a bunch of guitars), including the Pink SR4.

I was the previous owner of that bass. And I concur, it rocks! Probably the best sounding bass I've ever had. I never really even needed the eq on it. Just the series / parallel switch was all I used.

Pure tone.

I just could not get my head around the fifth string. I just play fives differently than fours. And not in a good way.

I hated to let it go but it was ruining me. Major props to the Dubaldo brothers who did right by me taking the 25th in for a four string BigAl. Which has become my main squeeze.

Jack,

Sorry I missed you and the gang Saturday, but had to get out of there before my wallet and head exploded, plus had other plans in the late afternoon.

Yes your statement is correct all were GC stock, anything not sold is available thru the North Dallas GC.

And uh yea rumor is quite true, helped my self to some fine pieces, crazy CFB.
