Just got the same rate as Janice at the Harvey Suites. Seems like a nice hotel. Managed by Intercontinental Hotels, so it's probably pretty good. 1.4 miles from the airport if I'm not mistaken. I hope their airport shuttle can take us to and from the Hyatt.

Thanks for posting the Harvey Suites info! I was resigned to not coming since I'm in the process of buying a house, but for $150-ish for both nights, I couldn't resist.

Thanks for saving myself the ass kicking I would have given myself come November....

My pleasure guys. Plus, the Hyatt is *at" the airport and, I'm thinking... air traffic noise all night long? blech!

They also offer a comp. full breakfast buffet, parking and airport shuttle. I like the fact that they also have a fitness room.

Their website lists it at 1.5 miles so, not far.

The only caveat is that the rate I got for Harvey Suites is locked in. 100% cancellation fee so... can't change it now w/o big penalty. Just keep it in mind if you decide to stay there.

Yeah, I figure we can get a taxi van to cart us there, or we can walk. November in Dallas shouldn't be too bad.

And, yes--the $74/night rate comes with a no cancellation clause, but that is made abundantly clear during the reservation process.

This is probably as good as you'll find for a 3-star hotel in Dallas. Hopefully, the place will live up to (or exceed) our expectations.
