Fellow Knuckleheads,

In between sipping martinis and playing with your Balls, would you kindly take a 30th and plug it into Bovinehost's LM head and compare it to 1Echo's LM combo. I'm sitting on the fence between the two, probably leaning more toward the head due to Jack's endorsement. But there's something about that 45lb combo I really like.

Dallas in July. Hmmm, what is it, 90 degrees with 90% humidity?

Have fun!!!

I shall endeavor to remember and comply with your request. I'll probably leave the laptop on and parked on the forum so we can check in LIVE, as it were.

And it's about 80 degrees and there are fresh water fish in my rain gutters.

You sure you don't want us to compare both the Markbass setups to the Peavey Dream Rig?

Hey, the combo has its advantages too. You don't get 45 degree tilt and front porting with the traveller cabs. Plus, I can still fit the CMD102P easily in the trunk of my coupe. Imagine that!

the Peavey Dream Rig?

Ah the good old days... I actually kind of miss my TNT 130 and my MegaBass head and 2 1820 cabs (each weighing about 120 pounds) - then I pick up my MB and GK stuff and forget all about it :D - sometimes tech is good!!!

I played a MarkBass 2x10 combo this week; and the only reason I didn't come home with it was because it wouldn't fit under my shirt.

Damned fine amp.

Great! You'll have something to throw on the BBQ.

1Echo - are there any differences between the amps? I like the 45 degree angle (and the 45 lbs), but I'm mainly interested in tone. Pure, unadulterated tone.

Oldtoe - wouldn't fit under your shirt? I guess that's a good thang. Am I out of line by asking what I should expect to pay for these little beaut's?

I'll give you a clue, the combo amp and the LMII have the same manual, same specs, same schematic, same controls, same wattage ....... wait a minute ...... they're the same amp!

So what you're saying, 1Echo, is your amp is exactly the same as Bovinhost's LMII, except.....that..... it's....... a........ combo? Well Dang! Does this mean I won't have to shorten my strap?? ;)

I said this before, but the only real difference with the combo is that it doesn't have an attenuator for the tweeter.
