And those from surrounding areas:

Stay tuned for an exact date, but the wife and offspring are going to Houston for a few days sometime during the week of 4th of July.

This means we get to set up Bass Stations all over the house, eat burned sausages, drink martinis, sing to Larry while he tosses his cookies, try to avoid being videotaped by John, and fondle any basses I have here and those you care to bring with you.

Contributions of food and vodka are gladly accepted.

Date forthcoming........

You may even get to play through this baby!

Excellent! I hope I get the chance to meet my fellow Dallas knuckleheads. Timing could be tricky though as I'm going to Corpus Christi the weekend after the 4th and haven't decided what day I'm heading down yet. :(

As far as being brave enough to play through that Peavey rig ........ well, perhaps I could start with something gentler to my soul ........ something with yellow speaker cones maybe? ;)

Offer a snack and they ask for the whole kitchen...

Leave your P bass at the door, Travis.

BTW, there will be games and prizes. I have one large Ernie Ball shirt which will go to the person who, um, can produce the most realistic rhino noise using only a cardboard toilet paper tube and a fork.

Also, I'm sure I have stickers.

Well, I sold the P-Bass thank you. All StingRay 5 here.

You know, I happen to be the National Champion in the cardboard toilet paper tube, and fork rhino calling contest. Does that make me exempt?:D

Wish I could make it! But I just started a new job, and I'm already taking time off to do a gig in Florida the week after the 4th.

I can't make it due to some gigs that weekend. I wish I was off so I could come.

Those of you who do go will be surprised by how good that Peavey rig sounds.

I wish you could make it too, Chuck. And he's right, folks - that stupid Peavey rig sounds pretty good for what it is. I wouldn't be scared to gig with it (in fact, I have, now that I give it some thought).

Bill - we'll miss you.

John - bring the slutty-fretted basses if you must. The mandolin is a REQUIREMENT.

Travis, if you and Stanky came come, I'll set up a tent in the backyard by the pool for ya. I know you two need your private spooning time.

The rest of you Dall-Ass guys, you need to let me know. Where Tim Dawson?

The now-confirmed date is July 6th. Friday night.
