What's strange is that the salesman was trying to sell me this starter bass from Squ!3r. I was dumbfounded. Here I am trying out basses that were going for more than 4 or 5 times the price of the starter bass, and he's trying to sell me the starter one? You'd think that he'd be trying to sell me the EBMMs!

I'm pretty sure that the Bongo is for me when I get the chance. We'll see what NAMM brings. :D If there's no Sitrucci, I might have to go Bongo.

Those copper-pickguard SR5s are AFAIK a special finish done just for GC. The paint is called Copperhead Bronze, and the pickguard is a really funky anodized/acid wash or somesuch metal one.

Don't know how unusual/rare they are, but they're not universally available.

Ah...yes. That's probably why I couldn't identify the color. I knew that PG wasn't a regular EBMM PG. I was wondering if it was a combo done for GC only.

Restraint is best served by being poor. imho.

Extravgance is reserverrd. You are okay foggy you are still thinking clearly.

TK, that is SO true - I'd probably own at least 4 MMs at the moment if I wasn't worried about paying off my debts and saving for the future  :D

But I'm sure that now I have one the rest will come shortly!

The Bongo, to me, is all about great sound and comfort to play. I'd love to blindfold a Bongo detractor and hang one around their neck and let them play it.

The look has totally grown on me and now it doesn't look that radical at all. When hanging on the wall next to my Sterlings it has the same basic shape, two horns, a neck and some knobs. I really is not as odd looking as some of these high end boutique creations.

The single hummer sure has been getting a lot love here at Camp Psycho.:D
