Every time somebody has posted on this forum expressing lust for the 30th, and asking the rhetorical question "should I get one?" my response has been the same. Make it happen, you won't regret it. Those that have given in to the urge are at this moment living better and happier lives as a result.
I love a good sparkle, but there are a lot more sparkles out there than 30ths. Besides, unless you're Eric Johnson, a sparkle finish isn't gonna change the tone. The 30th does not sound like any other Stingray out there, and I mean that in a good way.
Make it happen, you won't regret it.

Thanks. After last Sunday, though, the Eagles are dead to me right now. It's only fair, since they've undoubtedly taken years off my life. I'll reevaluate next weekend.
Back to the topic at hand, the beautiful and captivating 30th Anniversary Stingray.

That's what I told him to a tee. Plus he's got that Fish to dump on ebay to boot so he could still probably hang onto the sparkle and just sell the beater and the Fish and get a 30th.
