...can do anything :p

I dragged her out for a series of gigs in my covers band. Through my Eden rig this does it all, from disco classics, classic rock through to Beyonce and back, Aretha, old school retro thump etc. You name it, it addresses all my needs:

I don't seem to be able to progress beyond the concept of one pickup:

I know what you mean! My 4 MMs are all one pickup and four strings and they will play any type of music. By the way, stingrays rule! Nice collection of maple fretboards!:D

Órale Goldsmith, GREAT basses!
The one thing that has alway's got my goat all these year's is the proverbial "This bass does only one tone, but does it good, One trick pony" jazz... BUT, I alway's believed this Stingray could do it all, and has for me for the past 27 year's. It all in the hand's, make that bass do what you want, and any style!

i think the one trick pony myth is about to get worse with the advent of youtube and kids filming themselves demoing a highly complicated bass at their local guitar centers. tons of folks with just "hey, im gonna push all these knobs ALL THE WAY UP!" theres so much you can do with the thing. its nuts!
