Driving home last night from Seattle to Portland, I stopped by this small guitar store in Olympia to see what's new in their inventory. And there she is, the 30th anniversay the owner decided to sell instead of take home for his personal collection. I've all but convinced myself that will be my next bass. And then........

I read this post from Mammoth on how his Bongo drives the girls (and boys, but hey, to each his own) absolutely wild. They want to touch his Bongo? This does not help with my decision making process.

Damn you Bongoloids:)

Girls like the Bongo because its the "forbidden fruit" of design and thus generates much curiousity.

30th's are limited. Bongo's, not so much.

Buy the 30th now. Get a bongo later.

I wish my quals were going to be this easy. :)

Get the ray now like these guys said. Then if someone says they want to touch your Bongo, and if you are ok with it then just let them:D :D

Maddog - I love your logic! Can you put that in an equation? You see, my wife's an engineer and she would understand that much better than my just saying I want another bass.

adouglas - every time I read that I start laughing. Oh, and by the way, you really scare me!

Old Man - can you really play the blues with a Bongo? It just seems, too, new or something.

Looks like I'm driving back up to Olympia on Saturday. That 30th is calling my name. Damn G.A.S.

I'm not Old Man, although I do play one on TV.

Sheeyit, I play Hank Williams and Buck Owens on mine.

BoNgo can do whatever you want it to do. It's up to YOU.

h(t) = 30th*e^-t + bngo for t>=0

h(t) is the happiness function with indepedent variable t being time.

30th = 1 or 0; 1 being 30th possession, 0 being no 30th possession

bngo = 1 or 0; 1 being Bongo possession, 0 being no Bongo possession

maximum happiness occurs at t=0 which means you should run out and buy the 30th NOW!!!!! :D

and get around to buying that Bongo when you can. ;)

This is the way to go. I have both. You can always find a Bongo, new or used. If you don't pick up a 30th very soon, the opportunity will be gone. I cannot understand why these amazing basses haven't all found homes by now, but if your local store has one and the price is decent, grab it.
