If one of the mods can merge this with the locked thread that would be great...

I was originally made aware of this situation a few days after BP started the thread about me receiving the guitar. I got a phone call from Australia, after which had a chat with the intended USA purchaser, in which we decided he would become a non-purchaser, and I would retain the guitar to do with as I see fit.

I do still have the guitar, it’s a hardtail AL w/ MM90s and a matching headstock. Currently this guitar is sleeping in our EB vault next to a __ _____, two premium topped __ _____s, and a ___ ___.

I do not currently have active plans to sell the guitar. Even though it is technically holding up a position in our in-store inventory, I’m not worried about it. If I decide to sell this guitar in the near future, it will be on sale/display at the Steve Morse clinic on August 1st for “walk-in” customers only. If there are no takers at the clinic, it may wind up on eBay the following Friday, or it may continue sleeping in the vault until I bring in Albert Lee for a clinic during our 55th Anniversary bash in 2008. Did I say that?

I feel sorry for both the non-purchaser and non-receiver. While I am tempted to keep the guitar for myself, after all that has gone on surrounding the guitar I just don’t feel right when I look at it or play it. The Dargie Delights are something special, and those who were lucky enough to get their hands on one know that.

When this guitar does wind up for sale, it deserves the best of homes.

Here's hoping EBMM makes something like it in the future. I don't want that one. Plus, I don't think I could afford it with an F-1 coming.

I don't think anyone has to prove their US citizenship when buying a EBMM on American soil.

I just want to say that I don't know of any other company where I can get online and chat with the CEO. For that I am truly appreciative. BP and the other fine folks at EBMM make this a very special company. Just recently, Jodi took time out of her day to find me a piece of EBMM artwork that I was looking for so that I could use it as a guide for my tatoo artist. They don't have to do these things, but I feel that they genuinely care about us. We should all keep these things in mind and act ethically when we deal with them just as they do with us.

I've been playing for almost 35 years, 20 of that professionally, and I've never played a finer instrument than an EBMM. While I would love to have a DD AL, it's not in the budget for me right now.

BP, you get a big thanks from me. I really admire your dedication to serving your customers and providing us with the best guitars and accessories in the world.

Mr. Barr has started his attack on jack and I again in his password protected forum....doesnt he know that I see that stuff? THis is the same guy who was sending me emails last night about Vodka even though I dont drink. I thought we went light on him. After all if he didnt spend Nomrs money on hookers and meth none of this would have happened. Arent dealers supposed to ship guitars that are paid for in advance? l have my head up my ass though........

Sorry just kidding,

Glad this is all (almost ended) - we've all learned form it, even those of us who lurked during the whole post-fest.
