now that the Dargie madness has reached it's peak...:D I was thinking about all of us who don't have one... and aren't likely to get one.. the colour is so fantastic that I thought it should be a standard colour option on EBMM guitars... the guitars would not be "Dargies" because of no fingerboard inlays and no limited edition motif on the back.... whatya think...??:p I would have ordered one but for my financial circumstances last year... if it was now it would be no problem...

tis a cool colour, but i hope it stays limited. pretty sure it will, green guitars dont sell apparently.
yeah I know that green guitars don't sell and thats probably why it won't happen but I would soooo love an AL in that colour with a black pg and MM90's.... oh and a hardtail......

I hear what you are saying (I love the colour now too) but I think the colour has to stand alone as something entirely unique and very special - much like the way the whole concept of the DD's came to life.
Even if you removed the inlays and LE markings, the fact that you would be using the DD colour just wouldn't be right somehow - it would cheapen what you are trying to do with the new guitar and devalue the real DD's (both monetarily and and in terms of owning something very special). At least that's my view - I'm sure many will disagree....

Having said that, perhaps you could start petitioning for a new limited edition "Forumite" guitar for this year.
Maybe something with a big Canadian flag painted on the body and BP's face as a 12th fret inlay done in lovely mother of pearl????:D

I know what you mean...:( but since the Dargies started to appear here and being Irish the green is stirring something inside of me.....:p I think if you ordered one one in that colour they might do it for you... you know..made to order... just a thought anyway... and while we're on this I'd love a Luke in honeyburst....:p

You may get lucky and find one somewhere....

There have been a couple of Dargie bases that have been sold on. In fact, I think there's a DD Bongo on the bass side at the moment, so keep looking and hoping.

First off Scientests and market research are going to study this deal for centuries.... How a fat bald guy, an eyebrowless unemployed spy , and a martini swilling california batchelor
could create artificial hysteria and delusion over vomit green instruments is marketing at its best.

Nurses are on hand with IV's and valium for when the newness wears off and people open the case and see this bad urine sample green guitar and come to thier senses....Ebay will have to add an additional server...there will be Dargie refinishing websites and you will be able to buy them for $100.00. Dentists wil wonder what happened to Ritchies new smile....

Actually if I were to make the Dargie color again it just would not be fair to the people who supported it in the first place. This was a special deal and even I have to admit that they are really cooll and different.

Hint to factory WHERE"S MINE?????????

If you'll take it with a trem, you can get in line when Brent sells his

Or see if you can find any other green AL's ;)

Bless you poppa, that's why I'll keep buying balls -you go the extra mile to think about your customer. Wish there were more like you but glad there's not more like you in the guitar business!
