hehe, yeah - you're right, except for the motorcycle bit !
It wasn't a race at all.
I actually just sh@t in a paper bag and lit it on the doorstep of the local Lefty convention and had to make a quick exit.

They all started chasing me on their Roller blades :

I hate to bump this old thread, but I'm wondering if there has been any official word on how many of the Dargie II JP6's were produced?

Some guy that's got one in a shop around here is claiming there were only 30 built. I didn't have trouble finding 3 of them instantly when I started looking, and 2 were in this area, so that number sounds a little low.

i think there are more than 10 DD2 "regular" JPs (not the BFR ones) around.
here in germany, there are min. four JP6 located. one is mine, then i know from a forumite of the german JP-site and i´ve seen two of them in onlinestores / ebaystores.

can´t belive that there are only 6 guitars made for the US - btw. i´ve seen three or four on ebay.com the last two month.

but for sure, it would be interesting how many have been build.

I'll put my estimate at about 350-450 instruments in the DD2 finish... just based on the number I've seen on these interwebs.
