Maybe the word is getting around. The DD thread in Talkbass took off and now has over 1600 views.

Never mind the extra shot to the sales #s, it can't hurt MM's market presence to have people phoning and dropping into MM dealers asking about the Dargie Delight.

(Glad I'm not a ***der rep right about now ;)

So who's your dealer?

Mark, are you getting yours locally or from another country? Bass Centre in Melbourne are taking orders, but I seriously doubt I can afford one at the moment given my recent GAS attacks and, er, uncertain domestic situation. Is a shame, 'cause I think it's one of the nicest looking EB efforts in a long while. My choice would probably be a Sterling HS, possibly with rosewood board and matching headstock or straight maple neck no match. Awwwww.

Richard, I've ordered through Allans in Adelaide. The price was very good, significantly less than retail price. I went for a Bongo HS.

If you order one now you'll have several months to off some other gear in order to pay for a DD.

From the Aussie website:

"Limited Edition Dargie Delight Musicman Stingrays, Sterlings and Stingray 5 basses. These basses are truely limited. They feature "martini glass" inlays, Dargie Delight decal beneath the neck plate.and of course...that colour."

Hey Dargin - you're famous now, brother.

Scary, isn't it?

So when's the cutoff date? Friday at 5:00pm SLO time or has it been extended past the 10 days to......... ?

Reason being, I've got a few people on the fence but they need that PUSH to get them over :D

The email I got from Dan said the cutoff is 7/31 for US dealers so I took that to mean 5:00 pm SLO time on Monday 7/31 which gives you the weekend to push em over the fence Pete but confirm with your rep.

I've got a few pushes in the works...

Pete, I'm seriously considering a Silo DD. I'll be in touch tomorrow about pricing/options.

Ritchie

Heh. That post reminds me of a crude joke.

"I could have a 12" piano player*, but I'm not cutting off 6" for anybody."

* You'll have to change this to the appropriate near homonym for the joke to make any sense. And, you'll have to read Ritchie's signature....

So, I'm going over to Karen's this weekend (no kid weekend) and gonna get all tanked up and figure out how many DD's I am gonna order with Dan on Monday afternoon at 4:50 pm above and beyond the ones we have deposits in on just so I can keep Jack "nervous".

Jack will say:

Duuuuuude???? We still have 2006 LE's and a crapload of 30th Rays to sell yet...I dunno man.

I will say:

Yeah but, look at how many more Buttercreams we could have sold if we ordered more damnit!!

Monday will be "interesting" I'd say.
