First post here, and I did try to find the answer via the search function.

I've wanted some verson of the Dargie when I first heard about them a few years ago. Now that time has passed and I actually have the money, I may just pull the trigger. My current main bass is a G&L Tribute L-2500 with flats. I'm leaning towards the Bongo 5 HH.

Now...about that paint.

What's up with these pics? I don't recall seeing pics like this posted anywhere else. Is this color-changing legit? If so, I love it!!

Just figured I'd ask the experts.

Yep, it's legit.

The first-run Dargies were Logan Green (sometimes called Martini Olive Green) and the Dargie 2nd Edition has this wild-ass color flipping paint.

Thanks for confirming this.

I now have to ask myself if it's worth the premium for that paint job. Me thinks it is.

Got it from The Perfect Bass.

It's with a friend on the way here right now.
Oh mines a Bongo 4 HH.

I suggest you get the Bongo 5 HHP if they still have it in stock. The piezo really adds more tonal options.
