Hello everyone,
I have a few questions about the Dark Lord Morse for those of you that have purchased them. So, I ordered one from Musician's Friend and it got here today. I was a little mystified when I opened the box and then the case. I was under the impression that since they were a BFR model they would have the cases similar to the Petrucci BFR models (perhaps this is/was not the case). Also, I thought that there were only 70 Dark Lord Morses made, and that Mr. Morse himself had signed all of them? Or perhaps the one I purchased is not part of the original run (did EBMM even do a second run?). Finally, there was no BFR certificate with it, and also no card saying to call EBMM for a certificate (perhaps these guys don't warrant a BFR certificate?). Anyways, I was hoping that those of you who have purchased Dark Lord Morses might be able to answer some of these questions for me! Thanks!

P.S. Too dark for pics here, so they'll have to wait until we get some good weather.

What I can tell you is that mine is signed by Steve Morse, and it has a regular EBMM SKB case. I don't recall a BFR certificate, but I'll check.

Hi Ed,

My Dark Lord came in the normal ebmm case, has a BFR certificate, and the cover is signed by Steve Morse with a little guitar doodle. I ordered a new cover from A.J. so I wouldn't wear of the signature. My neck is very nicely flamed, no birdseye.
