Hey, folks. I've been lurking around the forums for a while. I checked with our illustrious Moderator to make sure a post like this was okay, and he said it was, so here goes.

I'm President of MusicDojo.com. We're an online interactive music school with bass and guitar classes taught by some truly exceptional players. On the bass side we have Adam Nitti, Anthony Wellington, David Dyson, Norm Stockton, and many more, including the great Dave LaRue!

Dave just started teaching an excellent class on our site: Tapping 2. I wanted to make everyone aware that his class starts again on Monday (they run every six weeks), and it's really an excellent, excellent class.

MusicDojo is kind of an interesting concept in that you get a new lesson each weekday during the courses. You go thru the material, which consists of a combination of text, notation, audio and/or video examples, and audio play-along tracks. The best part is that you can ask questions of your instructor at any point and submit assignments, so it has its advantages over videos, books, etc.

There are dozens of courses in improvisation, reading, technique (slap, tap, etc.), styles, and theory.

You all may know that Dave is a great player, but he's also an incredible instructor, as are our other teachers.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know. And if you have any questions about the school or any of the courses, you can ask me here, or email at [email protected].

Finally, you can sign up for a free five day intro class that runs each week. Just go to musicdojo.com and create a user name and password, and during the signup, you can enroll in the five day class. It contains lessons from five different bass courses (or guitar if you sign up for the guitar class), and you can see how the whole thing operates.

That's it for now. Show Dave some love! :)

PS (I love my StingRay 5...2003 Blue Dawn/Rosewood).

Hey Len,

Thanks for posting! I haven't had an opportunity to take any lessons off your site but my good friend Michael Menduno (founder of The School of Bass) has been taking some Adam Nitti's lessons on there now for a while and raves about them!

Anthony Wellington

I used to take lessons with Anthony Wellington. Great player, great guy, and a great teacher. He really opened my eyes to what true musicianship is all about. I'm glad to hear he's doing well.

Yup. He's doing great. Very busy touring with Victor, and his Slap classes are very popular on the site.

I'll pass that along to Adam. I'm sure he'll appreciate it. Folks, if you haven't heard Adam's playing, I'd definitely encourage you to check it out. His playing is mindblowing.

If you have iTunes, here's a link to the CD Evidence on the iTunes Music Store:

Or you could go to www.adamnitti.com, where he likely has some clips.

BTW...He does play a StingRay 5, too!
