Hmmm. Now I am having a few second thoughts about the Bongo on order. I am wondering if I need a Big Al instead (or both really).

I feel that my Sterling H is a real rock bass. What I was looking for is smooth deep lows. Which bass better accomplishes that goal; Big Al or Bongo HH?

Yes, I know! I would have if it had been possible... in retrospect, I should have done that instead of been working like an ididot.

I never realised that was Dave Marks - what superb playing - he writes instruction stuff in the UK Bass Guitar magazine - and I'm pretty sure he reviewed a 76 prototype Ray in the same magazine some years ago (I think he owns the bass?).

At the 2008 UK Knucklehead bash he played an SR5 with the guitar players - he did an awesome solo in a blues jazz jam - and I really didn't realise it was Dave Marks at the time - but he had those unique sideburns then as well!
