Saw Dave in Portland last night. Here's a snapshot of what we saw:

I shot some vid with my iPhone, but it certainly didn't capture the moment. So, I stole this off youtube.

The tones coming out of that fretless bongo just blew me away. If any of you are anywhere near one of his performances, go see this band. WoW!

watched a few you-tube clips of his this weekend... the man can definately shred! One of the ones I watched he was using a looper... VERY COOL! The fact that he was rocking a bongo made it all that much better of course... I would love to catch a live show sometime if they ever get up to MN.

What a bass tone, especially later at finger style playing...just fantastic!

Are those flats or rounds on that Bongo, what do Ya think guys?

The two bongos he played last night were strung with Cobalts. Un-freak'n-believable.
