DD 30th!

im sittin here playing my exceptional 30th anniv sr4 which tips the mighty scales of bathroom at just under 9 pounds (according to the scale, feels more like under 10 to me...), and im thinking about how the tone is perfect, it nails exactly what i've been after for a long time.

the mahagony body does it for me. But i want the dual PUP...


If i could have ordered the DD in any bass, could i have ordered it in 30th, DD color scheme, 30th body (mahog body, birdseye neck)


not likely, but a great idea to me, as i find the tone of the mahagony body with the sr4 electronics more to my liking than the regular body, but i want the dual pickups....


just an idea

I have to respectfully disagree with that idea...why would you want MOG sprayed over that mahogany body?

Is it a coincidence that the order window on the 30th Rays closed out like the day before the DD order window opened??

I gotta say I played a 30th at GC and it was amazing. If I hadn't just bought a stingray and put another one on order I'd be all over one.

No steve it isnt a coincidence it is because we are into the third week of december production bucket.......We may give everyone a few days next week to get off the dime.

The problem is that all of the stuff is hot and the orders are dictating the schedule not conspiracy

Was just a ribbing ya big guy...no conspiracy theory here. I got enough of both on order so I say close it down to those who can't get off the dime...I got on my dime in January.

I just still can't see why anyone would want to cover up the beautiful mahogany 30th bodies with MOG.

The 30th's are works of art and I'm out of stock again...keep em rolling Big Buddy!!

I've got the 30th, and it's incredible, the trans red finish is exceptional, and I've got a DD sr4HH on order, and I'm realizing that the Mahagony body completes the stingray for me. and I want the DD, but i want this tone, I'm not one to purchase things for their collectability, I intend to use the DD, and right now, this 30th is growing legs and putting all my other basses into the closet. Except the wal, they are battling, which is why i want the HH on the mahagony body. Once i get that, i can retire the wal bass to my secret stash of stuff my wife thinks i sold...


oh well, I could just buy a sr4HH and another 30th, and have it routed :eek:

but i digress....

So how bout it, i know the woods there, who's a guy gotta kill to snag a mahagony body on my DD, no red finish required... and I'll stop wearing my warwick hat ;)

In real world terms, that means that basses ordered today will not ship until the third week of December, for those of you who wondered about that.

Can't have 2006 basses shipping in 2007, right?

So - the 2006 Limited Editions will soon be history. The 30th Rays will soon be history. The Dargie Delights will soon be history.

Even now, in July, what a year. Has this been cool or what?
