They don't have that option with the 2 band basses otherwise I would of.

Ah, didn't think of that. I wonder if they will do the martini glasses on the unlined board... That would be cool!

One-offs???

OK it has been asked on page 3 of this thread already, but now answered and I still don't understand.

There were about 13 models of which only one DD was ordered - clearly one-offs. In the case of Bongo 5 HSP - 2 were ordered.

Now if one was fretted and one was lined fretless - are those both one-offs or is that status only controlled by pickup configuration?

I want to know because I ordered a Bongo DD 5 HSP lined fretless and I am not sure whether or not the order will fill based on the one-off definition.

Thanks for your input - those of you in the know.

Egghuman,

I have submitted that question and expect an answer on Tuesday when the Corporation goes back to work.

Happy Labor day, all.

I think it will fall under whichever model you ordered, otherwise my order might not be processed either.

I think since they didn't post the fretless variations as one off's in the original tally, they don't have that protection as the one off's clearly marked.

Same could be said as the matching/non matching headstock variations.

Forgot about that too - the headstock issue.

The cloud of confusion has lifted. Just got an email from Jack saying my DD order was accepted and that it was not a violation of the "one-off" policy.

So I anxiously await a DD Sterling HH and a DD Bongo 5 HSP Lined Fretless. Thanks BP for opening the order window again. Thanks Jack and Steve for the attention to the Bongo order.
