I finally broke down and called GC today and asked them how long. They called EB and told me it's left buffing and is onto hardware installation, and will hopefully ship out on Wednesday. That should keep me occupied until my Cherry Burst arrives in December. I held out for almost 3 whole months without inquiring, that's pretty good for me.

LOL thats funny, and nice choice on the cherry burst, normally i wait for the call that it is coming but seeing Pete's DD2 GR caused me to send beaver an email about mine. havent heard back yet.

Yup that's what happened to me as well. Once I saw the DD2 JP BFR I had to know when mine was coming.

It's funny because I saw the one Lou bought at the Petrucci meet & greet in August, but I guess the lighting over it didn't really show it off properly. Yesterday I was able to see the full range of colors that we've seen in photos on the forum and it is absolutely sick!

I did promise Pete I won't even ask for an update on the Cherry Burst until December. Of course since he started messing with me and telling AJ I wanted to order a flame top instead of quilt, I may bug him every other day.

I was there behind Pete as he was placing the order saying "he knows your kidding right? You made sure you ordered a quilt top right"? Pete turned to me and slyly said "yeah of course he knows I was kidding, it'll be quilt".

I have a feeling Pete is going to be screwing with my head for the next 3 months.

I just received news that my DD2 JP6 has arrived! The guys at "The Guitar Shop" will ship it out tomorrow, and hopefully it will be in my hands soon. I can't even express my excitement right now!

Awesome, Matt. Congrats. The color in person is nothing short of unbelievable. I still can't believe I've got mine, and its slowly stealing the #1 slot from my Koa.

You must be a first time Dargie owner...ahhh I remember my first time. Please allow me to give some sage advice.

1) Make sure you're alone the first time you open the case and when you see that Dargie 2 wrapped in plastic...just stare and think about how cool this moment is

2) When you pull the Dargie out of the plastic you may think you're mind is playing tricks on you...but no...you are really hearing "Ode To Joy" coming out of nowhere....just go with it.

3) Take some quality pics...please no camera phones...we need to see as fresh of an image as possible...this will allow us to share the experience even more with you.

4) A change of pants on standby.....just in case.
