First off a hello to all, im a new face here...

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where i can get a de-tuner for my stingray..

I used to own a fender bass which i got a hipshot detuner for but i am unsure where / who i can get one for a stingray.

plus i cant find hipshots damn website if they have one....

You're going to need a Hipshot BT-1...the key is a little bit off in length, but you won't notice unless you're up close and personal. With your purchase you will need to buy new screws for the tuner (I just found this out myself...I must have a Hipshot Xtender on each bass or I go nuts and the stock tuner screws with the dome head do not fit under the tuner)

You can get the tuner direct from www.hipshotproducts.com for around $80 I believe plus about $9.00 shipping.

Don't make the mistake I've seen many make and buy the one from www.stewmac.com. Although Stewart MacDonald is great for parts, they only stock the BT-2, for newer Fenders.
