I have a new (january 07) sterling / rosewood board, with a very dead A, Ab, G and Gb - F isn't too bad and the open E sounds great. I've tried new strings twice (different brands, guages), currently have the super slinky hybrids with the .105 E string.

Anyone else experience this?
Any solutions?

thanks in advance

Sounds like "dead spots"; I don't know of anything to fix this. I've heard that Groove Tube's Fat Finger helps them be not so dead and/or moving them around, but not actually getting rid of them.

Bill,

Welcome to the forum. To avoid spurious guessing and out-of-thin-air SWAGs, which won't help you at all unless it's entirely accidental, call CS and talk to them first.

I'll close this and re-open it if you'll PM me when you have an answer.

Thanks!

Jack
