I am at a total loss, I recently have noticed my strings are sounding duller faster than ever before. I have no what to do. Yes, I play all the time, but I don't remember my strings sounding so dead so fast! I welcome any tips or suggestions. I just changed strings on one of my Strats (standard EB 10's). And they sound "thuddy" they don't have that new string snap and sparkle. It has not even been a week yet! Help please.:confused::confused::confused:

Are your frets nicely crowned and clean? Oxidation on the frets can wear the strings more, so you lose more "sparkle" on the top end of the sound faster.
