I've got a problem that I need help with. I'm a MM dealer, www.audioclassics.com , who has a pretty fair selection of EB stock. I'm quite reluctant to post anything in that regard for fear of it appearing that I'm spamming. AND, I have friends on this forum who are also dealers and I don't want to lose those friends because I suddenly become a competitor. I've looked through the "rules" and can't seem to find anything that really applies.

My question? What's information and what's SPAM? I have pieces that I know some of the Forumites are looking for, but I'm here as an EB Addict, player and gatherer of information. Thoughts? Policy?

Thanks so much. :^>)

First thing I'd do is add your audio classics website link to your signature Rich. I had no idea that you were a dealer with such a nice website. I thought you got out of the biz after that deal with Sunn/Fender.

Hiya Rich,

What steve said. I've found if you do things tastefully and smoothly you don't raise too much of a ruckus.

Also, glad to meet you. I'm a former audioholic. Always loved perusing your online inventory. Finally got to pay your store a visit when I visited Binghamton several years back. Got to listen to some wonderful McIntosh equipment playing some excellent tunes. Thanks for the experience.

Steve, I was the rep for the Northeast for 14 years. When I got out I was pretty sure that I wanted NOTHING more to do with MI. It's a business that seems to take great pleasure in eating its own young and that goes completely against my grain.

I ended up in Music Retail because I was given the opportunity to do it MY way. We sell high end products and I get to hang out with a company who seems to share my thoughts of doing business, EB,--the Customer actually matters; what a CONCEPT!!. I'm thrilled to be associated with EB as a dealer for their products.

I remember the first time I had a problem with a Bongo--a bad knob. EB didn't tell me to take it to a service center in East Overshoe. They wanted the bass back in order to be CERTAIN that the client got what he paid for. Each instrument is world class and I had my confidence in a "manufacturer" restored. Now I'm an addict and sit and gaze upon pieces that blow my mind.

As for the EBForum. I'm thrilled to be here. I'm sure it's not my imagination but the level of intelligent questions and informed answers seems to be much higher here than at others. I, for one, LEARN something each time I visit this place. Education--a good thing for us all.

Thanks to All for being part of this.

idea for BP, Codemonkey, and mods..

Most of us have "Registered User" somewhere below our name, except for the moderators and the EBMM staff.

Maybe Codemonkey can, with BP's blessing, create some new designations:

"Music Man Dealer" (for Doug, Pete, Rich, Dude and others)

"Moderator/Music Man Dealer" (for Bovine)

or something along those lines to let people know that you sell EBMM.
("MM Retailer" or "Indepenedent MM Dealer", etc. etc.)

This designation would be set in your profile upon request, after a quick verification of your authorized dealer status.

Yay? Nay?

I'd really like the title of "Tater Salad" if it's possible....

Seriously Rich...there's really no problem with EBMM dealers posting here...it's all good as long as you contribute something to the whole vibe and I know for a fact you have a lot to contribute. How long we go back??? Eight or nine years now? You, my man are one of my personal heros and I'm glad to see you here Mr. Briere!!

Now what is my Marantz 2015 in wood case worth?

Thanks for the nice comments. It is pretty fun to see the EB/MM team work so hard with a shared passion. WE actually love what we do.

As far as being a dealer and posting here thats A O.K. I think the other dealers understand that there is no exclusive turf and that you all will benefit by hanging around here.
