Deep Purple Shows 2005
JUNE 19 Corel Centre Ottawa, ON Canada
Oh I'm going, I have an account set up where the tickets are being sold and on April 1st at 10:00 AM I will be buying some...I wonder if JimiD's going...Tokkes said:Hey Raz,
Deep Purple definitely is a must see. After Blackmore left midway 1993, they finished the rest of 'The battle rages on' tour with Joe Satriani on guitar. Joe just stept in and did the job. Because of restrictions on behalf of record companies and so on, they had to find a replacement for Ritchie since things were not going to work out with Joe. That's where Steve comes into the picture. Since midway 1994, beginning of 1995, Steve is the guitarist in DP. A asure you, I've seen, heard and talked to the guys in DP several times by now, and they are simply amazing. Some people consider this blasphemy, but I like the DP with Morse better than with Blackmore, although their material has written 'superb' all over it with Blackmore as well as with Steve Morse.
Go there if you can, you will not regret it. They kick some major *** and they are probably one of the best live bands I've ever heard (and I've seen a lot by now).
Enjoy I'd say,
cheers, Tom.

Unfortunately, I may never have that chance, way up here in the North...so I's takes what I's can getkbaim said:several DVD's exist with Steve and DP.
That should get you started if you don't mind dropping the coin.
But personally, I'd rather see a 1/2 hour dregs show than a 3 hour purple show.
Smaller venue, I prefer the material since it's 100% steve's, and no singing.

Actually I am impressed as to how good I have been. I'll search Ebay once in awhile, but my plan is to pay off all of my existing purchases, then I'll go from there. I'm considering purchasing a Morse, I think the fat neck is just what I need. Theres a local music store that offers great trade in value for new product...hmmm maybe I'll go have a lookHookpunch said:Actually Raz, I really think you should buy the new Morse guitar and get it signed. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Just kidding , although knowing you we will be seeing a post saying it's on it's way.
