OK, so here's the deal...via Dan in sales, placed an order for a new set of Schaller locking tuners for my Sil Spec., as well as the volume and tone knobs to replace the lame a** silver metal jobs that were on there to begin with. I also had him add to the order a regular/standard Schaller tuner to replace one that is on my red EVH, for 7 tuners altogether, 6 locking, 1 not.

Bless his heart, he came thru with flying colors, except for one thing...he sent me 7 locking tuners! :( Any way to have one of the regular, non-locking tuners sent to me, with return postage/RMA, etc. to get you the extra locking tuner back to you?

However you feel would be best to handle this issue would be welcome information at this point.

Thanks! :)

I posted this because my hours at work don't allow me to deal with anything of this nature until later in the afternoon, a la 3-4 PM, and I want to get the ball rolling a little earlier this way. If nothing happens by the time I get out of work, then yes, homeslice gets a call from me, and I'm not going to be very happy at that point.

Overall, yes, I could just call him back, but then that would be WAY too normal and easy. :p

Quick question (somewhat related):

You ordered locking tuners for your Silouette Special. Did your Sil Spec have non-locking tuners to begin with? If so, I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my Albert Lee, and I wanted to know how much trouble it is to line up the new tuners and drill the new screw holes for them.

Thanks.

I put locking tuners on my silo bass guitar. The hole drilling was easy and the new tuners even covered up the old holes.
