Hey I took pics of my homemade rack mounted bass hanger. Pic #1 is my rack.

Here is a general description of how I made it:
(Note that this works only when your bass stack is taller than your bass)

Materials:
• Single garage hook - heavy coated about 2" forks
• 2x4 Wood about the inside depth of your rack + 2".
• 1x2 Wood 6" long
• (2) Industrial strength velcro strips about 2"x4"
• Black spray paint

Build it:
• Bevel each side of the 2x4 at 45 degree angles so there is about 1" flat front showing.
• Drill a hole in the center of the front face and screw the garage hook into it.
• Put one strip of velcro on the bottom front of the board and on the far left (or right) on top of your 2nd space rack item so they will interlock. (The hook should extend about 2-3 " beyond the front of your rack)
• Screw the 1x2 to the back end of the top of the 2x4 to fill in the space between the inside top of your rack and the 2x4.
• Put the other strip of velcro on the top of the 1x2 towards the back and on the inside of the rack top far left (or right) side so they will interlock.
• Paint it with black spray paint.
• For transport, the bevels in the board allow you the space to pull the board off and turn sideways so it will fit in your rack closed.
• You will be amazed at how solid it is and how nice it is not to have a stand on the floor.

Good Luck and let me know if you make one - post pics.:)

Here's mine, which fits between two rack components, and achieves the same result ....

Our guitarist makes them, but I guess anybody who can weld could do it. Its a bought guitar wall hanger/hook, spot welded to a bent piece of steel bar. Then I added some weather stripping to the part that slides between my rack and top cabinet.

Hey Mark you've motivated me to do something. I keep tripping over my bass floorstands and have been thinking about doing something for a while now. I'm off to the music shop for the hangers and then into the garage for a few hours to see what I can come up with.

do you have caster for your rig ..

man ..
that's seems super heavy to me ..
how do you transport em ?

Amen brother it is. But fortunately it stays in Church most of the time except for outside or big inside gigs. For smaller places I use a Peavey TKO amp, soon (hopefully) to be replaced by an Ashdown Mag 300 1x15 combo, if they ever get in stock.

And yes both cabs have casters, the slide out kind made by Mesa Boogie.

Transported in style when I need to::D

The Lord has blessed me indeed!:D
