to detune or not to detune?

so as the title says, what do you guys think is best for a guitar when couried within a country?
a jp-7 to be exact :)

ive never thought about it until now

yeah tbh i would have agreed. its only because the guy said he would do that, that it got me thinking...

Agree with everyone above! NEVER EVER leave the strings slack for more than a few minutes during a string change (and I usually change them one at a time or maybe a couple at a time). If EBMM ships them from the factory in tune and perfectly setup, then that's good enough for me! I have received a few used guitars over the years where the seller inexplicably slackened all the strings and the guitar is always wacky from that and needs a setup and time to re-settle itself.

Tell the guy NOT to do that. Ship it fully in pitch. If he argues with him, tell him EBMM ships from the factory to the whole globe tuned up and he should too or you ain't buying!

Yeah I always change strings one at a time. Ive always left my guitars in tune to, as thought that would be best for the guitar. When he said that it got me thinking, hence the thread.

Yeah I asked him to leave it as it is.
