Devon is the singer/songwriter/guitarist from the band Honeytribe (he's also Gregg Allman's son), and Honeytribe played The Hungry Tiger here in town on Sunday night. He spent most of yesterday hanging out at our Beller's location, working on a video project where he played a store clerk selling EB Slinky Strings. (Gee, how'd those strings get picked?)

What a funny guy and he's a great guitarist on top of it! I put a 25th in his hands and he thought it was pretty cool and had an awesome top. When I went into detail about the chambering and tonewoods used, he was floored.

Pic with all of us over at Beller's, Devon is in the Metallica shirt:

I will share the footage as soon as they give us our copy!

If I saw him walking down the street I would've thought I had just gone through a time warp and was looking at a 25 year old Greg Allman.

I love the Allman Brother's. I was listening to them on my ride in to work today.

A few months ago, a friends band "High Time" opened for Dicky Bett's band. High Time was great, they are a cool Dead cover band. Dicky Bett's..... well it was very interesting. He is a great guitar player, and has a really good backing band. But, he was pretty drunk the whole time. By the middle of the second set, it was nearly a train wreck. He was getting pissed off at his roadies. Then, he broke a string on his guitar and was really fussing with the new one and finally walked off stage. After the rest of the band finished the song (Elizabeth Reed), he came back on stage and told off his roadie. Then they kept playing. In spite of being rather inebreated, he was still wailing on the guitar - the man is really good. But, I guess I can see why he was let go, those shennanigans can be a real liability.

That definitely deserves a tres cool Pete -:cool::cool:

I'm also on the Uncle Duane side of the question when it comes to the looks. Not quite as "refined" looking as the young Gregg.
