I bet you guys are getting sick hearing how much I love my new LE SR!:p:cool:

Anyways, my cover band needed to record some new songs for demo CDs and we spent a few hours today laying down some tracks.

We recorded a bunch of RHCP, Sublime and Lenny Kravitz tunes and I can't believe how much better the SR sounds than previous recordings I made with my Fenders and Lakland. I went DI to the PA and the only effect I used was a MXR Auto-Q (for the RHCP and Lenny's Fly Away) but generally it was just the SR clean to the PA.

I am amazed at how good the bass (not my playing) sounds. Great articulation, amazing tone (slap and fingerstyle) and sits so nicelly in the mix.

Anyways... 2 of my Fenders are now for sale on eBay and I traded a 3rd Fender for an EBMM Sterling 4 string that should be arriving late next week.:)

I am seriously impressed!

Cool man. Burn me one of those CD's! I'd be curious to hear how it sounds & MP3's/compression inevitably degrade quality.

I will post links to the tunes as soon as my guitard does his mixdown stuff. He uses DAT tape and creates .mp3's from that. Should be a couple of days.
