After owning my JP6BFR for over a year I decided to try different strings. Through on the EB 9-42s. Adjusted the trem springs and the truss rodd. Plays like butta. Anyone else prefer their EBMM with 9s?

Absolutely, have 9-42's on ALL of my guitars! I have thought of trying 10-46's on my AL, think it could benefit from the heavier strings.

I've had 10s on my 7s forever but always 9s on the 6. I want to switch to 10s, but first I have to eat my way through about 3 more packs of strings :p

Both the JP and the AL have 10-46, although I think the AL can take a little more. Gonna try 10-52 sometime soon.

I always used D'addario 10s as I do not like mixing gauges on guitars and over shooting bends if I left one with 9s.But since all the issues with hand problems I went back to 9s. I honestly pretty much felt all strings were pretty much equal when you use top quality strings. But the last year and a half I started using coated strings and the D'addarios cannot compare to the EB coated. I really was shocked at the difference in feel, and now all I use are EB strings.
