Question Did I Just Make a Mistake?

The first and only ball I've ever played/demoed in a store was a JP12... ended up ordering a JPXI before leaving that same day. Bought and ordered all subsequent EBMMs sight unseen and couldn't be happier with what arrived! So I would totally agree with others - no mistake at all!

A mistake? Why, yes you did I must say.

Once that guitar arrives DO NOT PLAY IT! Upon doing so, you will become addicted and will find yourself cursed like the rest of us. You will start to make "secret" purchases and within a year you will post a "family photo" consisting not of your wife and children, but an arsenal of EBMM guitars.

Good luck Pal :D

Going to pick it up today after work! My only fear is that the JP is coming from their store in San Marcos. I've seen some guitars at the GC with quite a bit of "love" on them but hopefully this one will be the exception!

The waiting sucks, hey Larry? :) :) :) As long as the guitar hasn't been beaten to death a little clean up to the neck, a fresh set of strings and a good wipe down of the body and you'll be all set! I sincerely hope it's in mint condition for you!

I'll be the voice of dissent. Maybe. EBMM are very consistent, but I have picked up a dud (JPX) that I thought just sounded like someone filled every pore of it with lead. It is the weirdest thing, but no two pieces of wood (even from the same tree) are going to sound exactly the same. Unfortunately, it is becoming harder and harder to actually lay hands on the guitars you want. Our local GC has good stock, but besides them it is mostly mom-n-pops who don't carry much high end gear.

Just picker her up looks like someone ate a bunch of fried chicken and proceeded to give the whole body a good rub down. Strings are absolutely shot, trem arm, springs, and all case candy are MIA. To top it off? The trem cover is on upside down!

Stay tuned!
