Tell me nothing changed and I won't believe it . .

My new '07 SR4HS DD's controls are wonderful!
they feel (ARE) heavier & smoother . .no clunkiness at all.
Center indent feels great/smooth too! Nothing wrong with
my other MM's but this is great - love the feel!! My
'06 and others are different.

Anyone else w/a few Rays notice this??

Each of my EBMMs feels like the nobs track differently.
My 30th has the smoothest nob flow, then the SR4, then the SR5.
The SR5 nobs feel like some hardcore humvee radio dials or something.

removing the knobs and replacing em makes them feel completely different. so maybe one's bass' knobs are sitting lower on the pot than the other's.

try taking em off and putting em back but dont let the knobs get all the way down on the pot before tightening em back up

My 30th knobs are much "easier" feeling than the SR4 or SR5, almost "loose" feeling. I can't tell if I like it better opr not, but it is different.

Actually, I agree with what PocketGroove wrote word for word!

What I've found out is when the tone pot is set flat, the shaft kinda sits down into the detent notch on the pot, and slightly raises up when you turn it either way.

So if you have it set flat, and screw your knob on, then you'll really feel the center dent 'click' when you twist the knob. But if you turn the pot all the way open or closed and then screw on your knob, when you twist to the center detent, it doesn't 'click' as obvious. Try it out.

I had to adjust mine when I got my SR5 as a couple were stiff. I just loosened the set screw and pulled them up a tiny bit and they were perfect!

So that's why my bass pot didn't click! Haha, now I've gotten it to work. Thanks for that info!
