I don't think there are any issuse on where you put the tuners. The only thing they can get in trouble for is headstock design...

EBMM owns the 4+2 design.

Having said that, I know nothing about the legality of it, but that is a gorgeous website.

Marco sfogli plays Rash!! wicked player would love to see him at Ebmm

Great player, his Rash sig model looks like it has incorporated some of the JP BFR elements.

Sorry, but really? EBMM owns the 4+2? I thought you could only do it with headstock shape? That's just weird.

If EBMM could only get a hold on the 3+3 and the 6 in line they could run the whole show! It sounds just crazy enough to work...

Did you check out “the Monster”?

Shape & colour just like the SM-Y2D. Total rip off!

yes I have noticed, let's call a tribute rather than a rip off :p

I'm sure that if you are and EBMM fan you will not purchase a "the monster" but a real Y2D ;)

They are too similar to EBMM models for my liking... Even the website is a copy with all those making-of shots.

I'm sure they make a nice guitar, but there is definitely some copying of the EBMM design overall. You can see the JP and SM models all over those guitars. Marco is an amazing player, and I guess its easier for him to get a signature model with a company from his own country than EBMM...but I dont know about any of that hehehe. Balls are Best!!!! :D

Guys, i wasn't trying to start a pissing contest of what guitar is ripping off what guitar, I was just wondering about the 4+2 neck and if it was licensed or not. BP hates the "vs." threads.

I'm sure that some companies have the license to it, I was just wondering, they seem legit and not running some illegal operation.

If you put the 2 guitars together, the Tobacco Burst and the one that is like a Purple Sunset I could see someone that is not all that sharp being confused. But just like the suit with PRS and Gibson guys who play know the difference. But there is no doubt I feel that we know where the inspiration for that model came from.

The SM looks like a strat, a strat looks like an RG, the RG looks like a Pardise Rainbow 1010, that looks like the Jason Becker model, the Jason Becker model looks just like a Dinky... It goes on forever. If you ask me, if they did copy EBMM at least they have there head in the right direction...

It's the usual deal. EBMM owns the trademark in the US.

I hate shutting these down but they tend to end badly ...
