According to that link, he's had a strat fitted with Suhr single coils and their hum cancelling system.

Maybe he does have a strat fitted with those Suhr pickups, unless he has one of his other Silo's fitted with them other than the purple one which in fact are Dimarzio's...Well anyway i love Vinnie's tone, and it's great he uses EBMM:) .

This is from the man himself from a Q&A thread earlier this year (emphasis added)
BP announced you as the best Silhouette player in the world

BP? Wow...that's a great compliment but please excuse my ignorance, who is BP?

1) What configurations do you like on your silos?
Bridge
Colors
Fretboards
Pick Up Configurations
Body Wood

I use a Floyd Bridge. My main guitar is Purple (the purple ones sound a little sweeter). I use maple fret boards but like rosewood too. Using 3 DiMarzios - a Sonnicaster in the bridge - and dp181's in neck and middle. For years I thought I was using a Tone Zone but I recently send my pickup into Steve at DiMarzio and found out it is a custom wound that he calls a sonnicaster. I dunno if you can order it or not. The 181's are likelyto change soon as I am doing some experimenting. The body wood is alder - I think anyway. I used to be real concerned with all the details but find that now I don't pay much attention to this stuff. I don't even remember the guages of all my strings without looking.

2) What is it about the silos that makes them attractive to you?

I like the body size, neck size, and sound.

3) Have you done any custom things to make them yours? (Hot rodding)

Different pickups than the stock model. Replaced the frets with 6100's. That's about it.

Vin says he bought some pickups to try after Suhr contacting him regarding their boutique amp line. He never gave permission to use his name and image, but sure enough they put a link to his site implying he is an endorser.

"GIVE EM AN INCH AND THEY"LL TAKE A MILE"

Not really fair to Vinnie for Suhr to use him like that :(
