I currently have an AL w/piezo that I absolutely love but am thinking I would like something with humbuckers to get a heavier sound when needed. I love the feel of the AL, especially the neck. I'm curious as to the differences between the Y2D & the AL neck & overall feel. Thanks for the info guys.

Well the Y2D is rosewood fret board, there is a single coil pickup thrown in there as well.

From what other have said the AL neck profile is more similar to an Axis neck profile.
The Axis, Axis Sport and Axis Super Sports might be more what you are looking for.

The Y2D is a sweet ride, but you should really try to locate one and test drive it, once more people have them in stock.

Hope this helps, Glenn |B)

Yes, what color is the AL? And are you looking to swap it for a Morse? Does it have to be the Y2D or can it be a conventional Morse?

Thanks for the help guys. My AL is Trans Orange with a shell pickguard & no, I'm not looking to swap it. This one is staying with me for a long time.

Maybe there's another forum member that's getting a Y2D or has an Axis you could hook up with.

Just a thought. Glenn |B)

the y2d neck is in my opinion the PERFECT size & shape. the sweetest neck i ever played. if you like the al.....you will love the y2d......

Good comments all around. Thanks for the opinion Tommy. I'll have to see if I can get my hands on one. I may start a new thread to see if there are any forumites in my area.

Much better, thanx. :)

People don't understand that by filling that in it makes it easier for others to network with you.
