I've been looking for an EBMM Axis in a burst color. I seem to be gravitating towards the Tobacco Burst and Vintage Burst colors.

Can anyone describe the main difference between these two colors?

From the pictures I have seen on the internet, it seems to me that Tobacco Burst is more of a 2 color burst with less black around the edges where as Vintage Burst is more of a 3 color burst with more red towards the center of the burst and a more prominent black towards the edge of the body.

Is this assessment correct?

Also any photos of Axisi in Tobacco Burst and Vintage Burst would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey Now,

You're definitely right in that the vintage sunburst has a very visible red portion to the burst. As for pics, Fogman will surely overwhelm you with a plethora of images...(as soon as he puts down his gorgeous Dargie)

OK!!!! Dargie put down for a second to help a fellow forumite! :p
Personally I like the tobacco burst a lot better. There are times when I really like the vintage, but it just doesn't do it for me.

Here's the Tobacco.

They are pretty similar, but the vintage has more yellow and red tones.
I hope this helps! :)

The Vintage Sunburst looks great on the guitars with Pickguards like the Silo or Silo Spec. WIth the Black Pickups, the Abalone looks great. The pearloid pickguard looks great with the white PUPs.
