So I stopped by GC yesterday and checked out the 25th a second time. It is a great feeling and sounding guitar. (The GC in NYC still has about 5 25ths)
Anyway I was just inspecting it all around and noticed that it did NOT have the usual sculpted heel joint as all the other models. It was a bit strange to me as I didnt really notice it too much until I would play in the higher register. Not sure if this was discussed or mentioned before? Tried the search function of course but didnt find anything. Then I looked at the JPX and it ALSO had the heel joint that was not sculpted. The joint is rounded and everything but does not have that comfortable sculpted angle. Is there any reason why? I personally LOVE the nice smooth sculpted heel on my Silo Special, 20th Silo and incoming LUKE. Anyone have any comments or ideas on this?
