Hi everyone

In a predicament at the mo. I have the chance to pick up a Steve Morse signature model in all black, but it will mean having to offload the petrucci model. I've always wanted a morse, but the putrucci model is great aswell. Has anyone else had to make such a decision?

wow interesting predicament - they both feel, sound and look completely different...which do you prefer? (I am guessing you have played the Morse).

(To me...keep in mind everybody is different and it's up for interpretation and debate....the morse neck feels more 'immediately comfortable' but then I wasn't initially big on the thinner flatter neck (ala petrucci) so it took me a while to get into it....but now I love them both!!!)

Tough choice!

Totally different necks. I'd want to be comfortable with that before switching.

(FYI, I love the Morse neck but can't really get on with the Petrucci neck.)

Quite different bodies too- the untapered morse feels much different than the jp- I still love them both though, and unlike Beej, I'm really liking the jp neck- but he's right-switching back and forth between them is a lesson in contrasts.

Thanks fella's

One of the salesman headed to the Morse clinic in Perth. I met him there and had a go on the Morse and it felt very comfortable. It also had a very nice amount of birdseye on the neck which always helps ha ha. I'll take the petrucci down to the store tomorrow and have a fair test through an amplifier :)
