I'd imagine the X2N will take the JP a step further than the DSonic does. I guess it depends on the amp too. I can't imagine needing that guitar to be any hotter though.

Are you going to do it?

I have an Ibanez with an X2N...I don't like it at all. It's pretty hot (don't know the actual DC resistance), and has very little "character", it's all ice-pick to my ears. Unless that's what you're going for, I wouldn't do it.

thanks for the inputs. i am not installing X2N into any of my guitars. i also did have an old IBANEZ with X2N and it didnt sound good.

i am in the process of installing a D Sonic into one of my JP's. im looking at next week, work has been so hectic this holidays. hopefully next week i can find the time to do it.
