For all you Dimebag Darrell fans. December 8th marks the second anniversary of his untimely passing. Can't believe it's been 2 years already. Never had a chance to meet him. But, I know a few guys who have. They both say he was a class act. And was a great inspiration for me.

was never a fan of his band nor his playing, but what a tragic stupid loss, i had a lot of students where were very upset that one of their heroes' life was cut short in such a horrible manner. RIP indeed.

Yeah thinking it was the whole senselessness of it that hits a cord...... regardless of his style...... it was a tragic stupid loss....... :(

WOW, It is hard to believe it is two years, I understand some of you did not like the style or music, but DD was a fantastic player and person, Pantera was a great group and DD was so kind, he would do anything for any one, the one meeting I had left a great impression and seeing the people flock to his burial place is unreal, so sad some ahole with no purpose destryed a great man.

RIP Brother Dime. A true musician.
At the BLS gig I went to last year we all sang "In This River" together for Dime. Was a great night.

So sad that he left so early.

it's actually 3 years fingbeagles, this post is from 2006.
I can't believe it's been that long. I miss his playing and his love of life. He was always the positive guy in the group, always with a smile.
