I just nicked my JP on my amplifier, and it's received its first wound!
If I don't post pictures of it, will it cease to exist???

Also, if I become absurdly famous, then thirty years after my death another company might completely recreate my guitar and painstakingly recreate every single ding!

Any decent luthier can repair a ding so that it is essentially invisible. You might want to wait till you get a few more then take it in for a spa treatment

My drummer once bounced a beer cap off of the top of my guitar. Not impressed with the PERFECT perforated marks it left in the gloss... but hey, it's a story!

Dings only matter if you're going to sell it, and you're not going to, are you?

Modifications and scratches and dings and all that stuff make the guitar more YOURS.
