Think of them as "Battle Scars" and each dent represents a memory. I am a Guitar Player not a guitar collector.

I've got a mint one and a beat(en) one. I'll try and keep 'em nice, but as long as they play nice and smoothly, I'm fine!

I got a small dent on my JP too.... T_____T A part of me died when that happens.... and it still burns to look at it today although it's not very noticeable T___T

Back on topic, a dinged up guitar is like an old pair of jeans that fades but feels oh so good. It's all about the use/time put in on an instrument. Not that you have to go out of your way to nick the thing. Look at Morse's original or Lukes black sparkle.
