There are used EBMM's out there for $500 and under out there!? I feel like the geico caveman coming out from under the rock. I totally agree with the treatment theory of expensive gear, etc. I have always been the one to take care of my gear. If I bump or accidentally ding, it takes me a while to get over it. I'm very careful with where I place the gear, especially in between sets, etc. I've only had one pre-owned EBMM before, very lightly scratched on the back, but treated it like it was new. I would only buy used if i know it's history. Dings and bumps don't really bother me, especially if it's reflected in the price. What matters the most is how it plays and feels, including the parts, frets, etc. I typically stay away from used anything, but sometimes the deal comes up.
