Got a chance to welcome Colin and his wife to America last night. We went to a landmark restaurant near LAX called THE PROUD BIRD which sits along the landing runway allowing us to see all the planes coming in at a really low level. Which is still cool and oddly very relaxing. Colin got pretty excited when a Qantas jet came in.

Great meal and a couple cocktails later we went back to their room and jammed till midnight on my 2 BFR Lukes I brought. And shot the sh!t.

All around terrific hang. And in one of the nicest compliments I've gotten in a while, Colin asked me to show him how to play BALL FAMILY BOOGIE, a funky tune I wrote earlier this year for Sterling and co. in DADGAD tuning.

It being kinda tricky with the fingering and in an unfamiliar tuning to Col, he still attacked it with gusto.

Thanks for that Colin. Loved meeting up with you guys!

First of all Keith is a charming, funny and extremely generous guy. He drove for 2 hrs to take Fiona and I to dinner and he also brings 2 BFR Lukes. One of those Lukes is a one off and wow it's a nice one. Thanks again Keith and that song is killer. I'm currently in Las Vegas and will catch up with Pug (I wonder if he's bringing Ron Jeremy along?)
