Dirty lowdown on Breed in Silo Special

On the note of swapping pups, has anyone here tried a set of Fender Custom 69s into a SSS Silo Spec? I sort of remembered someone trying this before?

Yep I have, they sounded great, but the middle pickup isnt reverse wound so you get noise in all positions, so you need to use the silent circuit. I thought they sounded better than the stock pickups at lower volumes, but loud they sounded mighty similar and not that much better to bother with changing them.

I also tried the Fat 50's, but they too had a non-reverse wound middle. Swapped back to stock pups and been happy since.

??? That's odd... the Fat 50s set I have has a RWRP middle!

Anyways, I'm going to plonk a set of 69s in when I get the chance... Those are my favourite singles...
