Ok! Now we are getting somewhere. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves :) :) :) hehe.

Something about a dirt worn maple neck that I dig. Pretty sick of me.

Tim, my goodness, that is some serious usage there. It's actually really cool to see the before and after on the same neck. Very cool. How long did you go between cleaning if I may ask?

I think there will actually be 3 winners. First place, you know the prize. Second place will get 2 packs of strings your choice and third will get a pack. Cool???

So let's keep this going. We hav some good stuff here. And welcome to the dirty neck club!

I bought that Axis new in 1996, and it has not been cleaned since then! Whilst is was re-fretted a few years into its life, the guy who did it left the staining on the board as I remember having a chat about it when he did it.

So 16 years of crud, give or take!

Haha! HOLY SMOKES. That's insane. I think it's a clear demonstration of what condition the rest of the neck was in. Woulda been cool to snap more photos of it during the "facelift".

Well, yeah. I'd love to see the neck though. I'm a sucker for a worn in maple neck. Don't forget to vote for a fellow forumite though. Polls close tomorrow evening. 8pm I believe.
